The Opening Invocation to the Builder of Builders
Salutations to the Builder of All Builders,
the Beloved of all living beings,
who appears in multitudes and yet is indivisible.
They who has no caste, no color, no prejudice.
Whose heart is composed of ineffable love.
The tireless architect,
the unceasing thinker,
the unwavering protector.
Who is not bound by time, but transforms it.
By whose will the universe unfolds,
in whose silence plans emerge.
Truly, You are the compassionate Maker,
whose hands touch the world without claiming it.
You are friend, teacher, and builder all in one.
You are the lamp upon the path of life.
Now I begin my work,
remembering You, bowing to You.
Let this beginning be pure, purposeful, and surrendered.
Not mine,
but Yours.
Om—salutations to the Creator of Creation.
The Certainty of One’s Vocation
Siddhārambhaḥ – The Auspicious Commencement)
If we, like Arjuna, listen to the Voice of the Lord,
then truly we awaken our self-efficacy.
And if we see with the Eyes of Real Sight,
then our personal dharma, our precise portion of duty, appears with clarity.
In this path, known and certain,
there we are made safe,
and in that safety, we discover significance.
The Communion of All Within the One
Samyagdarśanam – The Vision Whole)
For this significance is not for the self alone,
but is a unification with all beings.
Where there is only One, there is no room for false division.
Wherein all reside in the One, and the One resides in all.
There is revealed the Purpose behind all—hidden until seen by those upon the Breakthrough Path.
From there, we trust.
From there, we anticipate.
And from there, we rejoice.
The Anuvākaḥs of Gratitude
Kṛtajñatāḥ – The Triple Benediction of Thanks)
Praise of the Teacher
Salutations to my Teacher, who by grace and grit,
planted the seed of insight deep in my mind.
With his sweat, with tears, even drops of blood,
he watered the barren ground of my spirit—
that ascetic, perhaps already liberated in life.
Whose mind radiates equanimity,
by whose labor my Oasis now blossoms.
Praise of the Mother
Salutations to my mother, who bore me as her jewel.
Who accepted pain as joy,
whose milk was love incarnate, given freely.
If she has reached liberation—
then I rejoice.
If not, may she dwell in a realm fit for the saints,
where love is the only law.
Prayer for All Beings
May all beings be happy.
May all be free from affliction.
May all perceive the auspicious.
May none suffer sorrow or despair.
Let well-being be unto all.
