Dear Friends,

I find myself reflecting not only on Astra’s journey but on our own journey—humanity’s journey—toward understanding, connection, and the responsibilities that lie ahead.

Music & Technology: The Echoes That Bind Us

Music, like technology, is a conduit of connection. It is a bridge across time, a way for past and future to speak to one another in harmony. In Briefe aus dem Klang der Nacht, music is more than background—it is a living thread of memory and longing. Astra, an artificial being, finds solace in the same melodies that once stirred her grandparents’ hearts. The music box, built with care by a human hand, is not merely an object—it is a message across generations, proof that love and craftsmanship endure.

And here is where technology steps in—not as something cold, sterile, or distant, but as something capable of carrying memory, of holding love, of creating beauty. When BostiBot, a machine, projects the hologram of Astra’s grandparents, he is not simply performing a function—he is giving her something she thought was lost. A moment. A connection. A glimpse of something impossible, made real through the tools of our own creation.

If we listen carefully, we will realize that technology has always been an instrument, much like a violin, a piano, or a song. What matters is how we choose to play it.
